Join Our Professional Training Program

 

​At the Alen Bottaini Ballet Academy (ABA), we welcome aspiring dancers to audition for :

our full-time Professional Training Program

our post-graduate Pre-Professional Program (PPP) 

 

 

 

Students may choose from the following audition options:

 


1. Open Audition

 

  • Apply and secure acceptance to join an open audition.
  • Dates, times, and locations are advertised on our social media channels.
  •  

 

2. Private Audition

 

  • Apply for a private audition, and propose suitable dates for consideration.
  • The ABA direction will confirm the most convenient date.

 


3. Video Audition

 

If you cannot attend an audition in person, we welcome video submissions. The video should include:

 

  • Barre Work (one side only, max. 5m): plié, tendu, fondu, adagio, and grand battement.
  • Center Practice: adagio, pirouettes en dehors and en dedans, small and grand allegro, and a short diagonal.
  • Girls: Include pointe work combinations such as échappés, sissonne simple, relevé en grand posé, pirouettes, and relevé/piqué arabesque.
  • Repertoire: repertoire variation if one is prepared


 

4. Summer Intensive Audition

 

  • Attend our yearly Summer Intensive Course.
  • Students may be invited to join the full-time training program based on ability and available spots.

 

 

 

Registration

 

To apply, complete the Audition Application Form and send it to audition@alenbottainiacademy.com. Be sure to include:

• A portrait photo.

• Ballet photos (including an arabesque).

 

Note: In-person auditions are preferred.

 

 

 

 

Audition Fee

 

An audition fee of € 70 is required for all applicants. Applications will only be considered once the fee is paid.

Participants attending auditions organized outside of ABA are exempt from paying this fee.

 

 

 

 

Notification of Acceptance

 

You will receive an email notification within three weeks of your application being reviewed.

 

Depending on the audition results, students may:

 

1. Receive direct admission to the program.

2. Be invited to attend the final audition, held at the ABA studios in Chieri-Torino during the Spring.
