Antonio Della Monica

Began his theatrical training studies at the Teatro Nuovo's Theatrical Training Center under the direction of Raul Grassini and then with Massimo Scaglione. Antonio worked for the Anna Bolens Company and in the same years he began his dance studies with Carla Perotti and his mime and body expression studies with Amiel (Lecoque Technique) and Marcel Marsceau.
Studied the Cunningham Technique with Tony Tacher and Tom Hackley, the Graham Technique with Elsa Piperno and Raffaella Mattioli, and the Limon Technique with Peter Goss.
Studied Academic Dance with Kristina Hammel of the Bucharest Opera, Ramona De Saa of the Cuban school and Sara Acquarone, taking the exams for the Royal Academy of Dancing method. She also studied with Carolyn Carlson Work and progress.
In addition to his work as a choreographer and teacher, he has designed costumes for Luciana Savignano, Anna Razzi, Gabriella Cohen, Raffaele Paganini, for the companies Jazz Ballet of Adriana Cava, Peter Goss Company, Opera of Liège, ISO of Moses Pendlenton, Teatro Nuovo Torino Company. He collaborates with Luzzati, Calì and Montresor for the creation of the costumes for Carmen, Il borghese gentiluomo and Madama Butterfly. In 1994 he collaborates with the choreographer Robert North in the staging of "Tango delle ore piccole", in 1995 with Pompea Santoro in the restaging of some choreographies by Matz Ek, Nacho Duato, Jiri Killian. From 1994-2008 he is Maitre and manager of the dance company Teatro Nuovo Torino. Teacher of the advanced courses and resident choreographer of the TNT company, in 2004 he founded the Roda Group Dance. He creates choreographies for the Compagnia Teatro Nuovo Torino, Compagnia del Minas Gerais (Brazil), Conservatorio G. Verdi Torino, RAI3, RAI Gulp, for the format School Rocks and for the opening ceremony of the 2007 Universiade….
In 2010 he choreographed all the episodes of the talent show School Rocks broadcast on Rai Gulp and was a member of the same talent show as a judge. In 2013 he published the book “La danza contemporanea per gli allievi dei licei coreutici”, Daniela Piazza editore Torino. Since 2015 he has been an expert teacher for the national dance high schools and a contact for the network of music high schools. In 2016 he was invited by Ramona De Saa to the National Ballet School of Cuba as a guest teacher for choreographic composition. In 2022 he was a commissioner for the extraordinary competition for contemporary dance teachers for the Ministry of Education.
Numerous are his students in the world such as: Federico Bonelli, Etoile of the Royal Ballet, artistic director of the Northern Ballet (UK), Gabriele Rolle, soloist of the Nederland Dance Theatre NTD2, Ivan Alboresi, director of Theater Nordhausen, Raffaele Irace, Program Director for Dance and Performance at Gallus Theater, guest ballet master at Introdans and Assistant of the Artistic Department and Rehearsal Assistant at Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, Yosvani Ramons, Principal Dancer at Colorado Ballet now director of the Montery Ballet (Mexico), Annette Delgado, Principal Ballet of Cuba and many others.

He has collaborated with the Germana Erba Friends Foundation and with the Germana Erba Choreutic High School, as a teacher of contemporary dance and choreographic composition laboratory.
